Mercury Performance Coaching

Personalised programs & 1:1 coaching · Bayside Melbourne

A plan built for one athlete. You.

Personalised triathlon training programs and one-on-one coaching — your races, your hours, your body, with a coach who watches you train every week and adjusts the plan to match.

Coaching that knows your name

Mercury Performance Coaching provides personalised triathlon programs and 1:1 coaching across Bayside Melbourne — for athletes targeting a specific event, juggling training around work and family, or wanting structure beyond the squad timetable.

The difference from a template plan is simple: your coach actually sees you train. Swim mechanics at GESAC on Tuesday inform the weekend brick. A flat run session moves Thursday's intervals. A heavy work week reshapes the fortnight rather than breaking it. Programs flex around real life because your coach is in the same pool, on the same track and on the same roads as you every week.

Personalised athletes still train with the squad — the program decides which sessions and at what intensity, so you get individual structure plus the motivation of training with the Mercury squad. Add video swim analysis when technique is the limiter.

Personalised coaching questions

What do I get with a personalised training program?

An individual weekly plan built around your goals, races, work hours and family commitments — written and adjusted by your coach, with ongoing feedback as your fitness and life change. Most athletes combine it with squad sessions so the plan and the coached training reinforce each other.

Who is 1:1 coaching for?

Athletes targeting a specific race — a first Ironman, a Kona qualification, a marathon PB — plus time-poor athletes who need every session to count, and anyone returning from injury who needs load managed carefully. You don't need to be elite; you need a goal.

How is this different from a generic training plan off the internet?

A downloaded plan can't watch you swim on Tuesday and change Saturday's session because of it. Your Mercury coach sees you train across the week at GESAC, Sandringham and Bayside rides, so the program adjusts to how you're actually absorbing the load — not how a template assumes you should.

How do I start?

Contact Clint with your goal and current training. You will usually start with a chat and a couple of squad sessions so your coach can see where you are, then the individual program builds from there.

Got a race in mind?

Tell Clint the goal — he'll tell you honestly what it takes to get there.
